Aaron David Ward loves to make people laugh. He also loves to organize.
Ward has also been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), a medical brain disorder that causes problems in information processing. OCD is a disorder we come across quite frequently in our professional organizer business here in Los Angeles.
Diagnosed with OCD in 2001, Ward knows full well that OCD is frequently characterized by a need to alphabetize, arrange, and file. “Some look at OCD as a mental illness or impairment; I prefer to look at it as a gift…with which I can make a living,” Ward said. Once thought to be untreatable, modern medications and cognitive behavior therapy can be quite helpful. Organizing is only part of a multi-prong approach.
So the 36-year old New York State comedian wants to transfer his passion of laughing and organizing into a new business-- Humorous Home Organizing, which will allow him to entertain and earn a living onstage and offstage by delivering comedy right into people’s homes.
Do you think Aaron David Ward will laugh all the way to the bank? Would you hire him to work with you in your home or office?
