Despite our thoughts that eBay is dead, the company announced profits are up.
"EBay, the online auction company, on Wednesday reported that its profit rose 52 percent in the first quarter after it raised fees on items for sale and held more auctions outside the United States."
"EBay offers goods for sale via auctions or for fixed prices. It makes money on listing fees and sales commissions. Auction revenue per listing rose 20 percent from a year earlier, helped by the fee increase, after a higher percentage of the site's visitors made purchases."
