Penelope Cruz is having a sexy, stellar year. But has she fulfilled a promise she made in 2005 to clean out her closet?
Her last movie, Volver, was a success. Good Night (with Gwyneth Paltrow) and Manolete (with Adrian Brody) are sure to follow the hit list. Even her appearance at the Academy Awards last Sunday was filled with her trademark Spanish snarl.
But the woman who who loves to eat crickets with her friend Selma Hayek is also known as a classic European. Born with special genes it's almost impossible for her to not look terrific. Whether she's wearing an Award show gown at the Kodak, or playing it cool at a premiere in Westwood, she has Spanish style written all over her like graffiti. But all that delish-ish-ness and busy lifestyle probably isn't conducive to everyday joys, like closet-clearing.
In March, 2005, all Cruz could talk about was wardrobe storage and finding time to clean out her closet. In an interview with Zap2it.com, she said It doesn't matter if it's her closet in Madrid or the big one at her house in Los Angeles she just needs some time to organize.
"I need to relax and organize my closet, which I've been trying to do for five months. I say, `Today is the day!' And then it never happens."
