Last week, we wrote about a woman living in a suburb south of Los Angeles who was facing eviction because of hoarding.
Her highly publicized court date is scheduled for February 23 when she will ask a Judge for more time to find a home. Click here to catch up on her story.
On the heels of this story comes another, but with tragic consequences.
LA Daily News Staff Writer Judy O'Rourke writes about a woman was killed Wednesday when a fire broke out in her garage, in Newhall, a suburb north of Los Angeles.
The victim is believed to be Darcy Seegar, 52, who had been recently evicted from her apartment and was living amid clutter in the unit's garage, which was filled with "boxes, a computer, shelves, pillows, loads of books, an armoire and other items."
Flames engulfed the makeshift living quarters, trapping her inside.
We don't know what to say. This is horrible.
