Last Sunday, an organizing client and I shopped for vintage-inspired supplies for a new office she's opening up. The Pasadena City College Swap Meet offers big and little gems, with kind and generous customer service you don't always find in the big city. So off we went, with Coffee Bean in-hand.
This filing cabinet (below, left) was no exception. We discovered this antique 8-drawer unit for about $150, terrific if you're into Mission, Arts and Crafts or need to organize a gentleman's office.
PCC Swap Meet happens once-monthly, on the first Sunday of the month, and it's sandwiched in-between the Rose Bowl Swapmeet, and Long Beach, two sister Southern California institutions. For PCC, there's no charge for covered parking and no cover charge for entry. You won't find many celebrities at PCC, they usually save themselves for the Rose Bowl. So mostly locals join-in for this family atmopshere.
Who needs a knock-off? Organizing treasures may be found at unlikely places, like PCC.
But don't look for any puppies, these aren't for sale. We asked.
What treasures have you discovered at your local swap meet or flea market?
