When we first opened opened shop three years ago, a Client showed us an unbelievable news article about Jennifer Lopez purchasing 10,000 hangers through The Great American Hanger Company.
But what was even more unbelievable we saw today courtesy of ClothesHoarse and Digital Spy-- imagine your charitable donation to a thrift store being publicized. Only in Hollywood... but is the story real?
Kate Olsen donated her "skinny" clothes to Out of the Closet, the infamous West Hollywood Thrift Store on Santa Monica Boulevard.
"The actress has gained over 15 pounds since she admitted she had an eating disorder in 2004 and is reportedly extremely happy with the progress. In honour of this she has decided to donate her old clothes that don't fit her to "Out of the Closet", a thrift store in West Hollywood that benefits AIDS research.
The shop is a popular place for celebs to donate their old clothes, and has seen the wardrobes of stars such as Winona Ryder and Elizabeth Taylor."
We've been to this shop dropping off donations for Clients, and no one's ever asked any questions, but you do fill out a tax form with your name and phone number.
We ask readers: do you think this story about attire is tiring?
