Shoes That Look Like They Came Out of a Hollywood Prop House

Louis Vuitton

Hollywood does have its share of extravagant set and costume design.

But these shoes didn't come from Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Paramount or MGM. They're fresh from France-based Louis Vuitton. The LV Spring/Summer 2010 runway line features these gems. We're not going to talk about the prices, but rather how functional they are in your stable of shoes. We ask you: what do you think of these treasures? Keep reading…

Luxist describes them best: "colorful metallics, tufts of fur, tassels galore, and several heels that are decidedly not sky-high, they're all very 'earth-meets-modern.' The Daisy Closed-Toe Mule [shown above] here has pony-styled calf leather in mocha with a greenish tuft of goat's wool, a wooden sole, and contrasting metal accents in the form of highly shined rosy pink hardware and a 1" gunmetal gray heel."

Monogram Denim, daily half-boot in pink [above]. Very pretty in pink.

The suede calf leather "rosa sandal" [above] make this shoe look a hybrid of Adidas and high-fashion.

Fashionistas (people with a passion for unique or high fashion clothing) reading our blog will love these shoes. The others may say spending any kind of money on them is a waste of time. So we ask, have you ever made a clothing purchase that you later thought "what was I thinking?" Perhaps you've returned the item the next day, or decided to keep it only to realize months or years later you've warmed up to the piece and now wear it religiously. For the record, we love the shoes, the color and workmanship. Please share your stories in the comments section below.
