David Beckham Color Codes His Refrigerator

David Beckham, the hunky LA Galaxy soccer player has just returned from his pre-season tour in Asia.

Victoria_beckhamhouseSafely back in Los Angeles, Beckham (who’s 33) is probably back to the things he loves, keeping house (pictured right and below.)  And this includes organizing and cleaning.

David_beckham_homepic_2According to Beckham’s wife, Victoria (aka Posh Spice, also 33) David and his wife are like most normal couples, they have their differences.  David is passionate about keeping a house organized and clean.  Victoria is not.  But she does wake at 6am to get their 3 kids organized for school and fights the drop off in the turnaround at campus.

Talking on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM morning show late last year, Victoria spoke about their (relatively) new life in Hollywood, and of David’s passion for a well-run home:

"He’s very tidy, and I am not," [Victoria Beckham] says. How organized is [David]? "Even our ‘fridge is color coded," she says.  "And I am not like that, I am quite creative.  I have clothes all over the place.  I am not tidy at all."

When it comes to cleaning, "David vacuums in straight lines. And if anyone walks on the carpet he gets upset."

Not that it’s all about cleaning. Even after eight years of marriage, "He’s really romantic," she says. "He’s very good at sending flowers and cards."

John – I love how Posh says she is “creative” instead of “untidy”. 🙂 I hadn’t seen that quote before – how funny! Thanks for mentioning me – you’re too nice! 🙂

Color coding your refrigerator might be a great idea for people who wish to stick to certain diets and need labeling to keep things straight…otherwise, this may be a bit too strict for the masses.

The marriage is doomed. In the real world it would last but in Hollywood I dunno. I’m sure the divorce papers will specify mental cruelty – “He vacuums in straight lines and she can’t put things back where she found them.” I’ll post a solution on my blog.
