O-Magazine Offers Organizing Tips and a Sweepstakes

Pavilion_iq770_2If you’re feeling lucky, Los Angeles organizing expert Chris McKenry can help you.

Chris is part of an advertisement in O-Magazine this month for Microsoft’s HP Pavilion IQ 770 TouchSmart Computer.  Our colleague offers great tips for organizing your kitchen, home office, wardrobe, mail and time– many of those tips includes ways you can incorporate technology into your daily life (like we continue to do) by using the TouchSmart.

The HP Pavilion IQ 770 TouchSmart Computer helps plan your family’s schedule, manage events and leave personal messages – all at your fingertips, on a touch screen.

Here’s a sample Conquer Your Clutter tip we love:

"Another key to staying organized is keeping items where they are used. You normally don’t leave the milk, fish, and eggs sitting on the dining room table when returning home from the grocery after a difficult day. Think of the mail as perishable and keep those surfaces uncluttered. No matter how tired you are, get in the habit of placing the mail on your desk.

Record events in your TouchSmart calendar and recycle the invitations."

To read more of Chris’ Get It Together LA! organizing tricks, check out this month’s O magazine on newsstands now.  You can also read the online version and enter to win a variety of prizes (including a TouchSmart and a visit by a professional organizer), by clicking here.

    Hi John,
I could use one of those!! Wow. Very cool.
I thank you for popping to visit my blog this evening, and posting a comment on One Organized Closet posting on my site http://www.oneorganizedchick.blogspot.com
I am a big fan of you and your blog! I was so THRILLED to see your comment on my blog today! WOW!
I was just wanted to figure out if you meant to post the comment to me, or to Laura who organized her closet? I am assuming you mean me, Cathy, and not Laura. I was the one who inspired Laura to do her closet! That was her letter and photos she sent into me!
I love having you on my blog roll, and I thank you for your encouragement and a possible listing in your blog roll at a later date! That would be amazing.
Thanks so much! I tried to email you, but it came back to me twice. So, I posted here instead.
    Cathy aka One Organized Chick!

    John —
This post about the TouchSmart computer is a great place to respond to your comment about my iPhone inDifference.
In my experience, women tend to more interested in technology that helps them get a job done, especially jobs related to enhancing relationships, rather than in the technology per se as per my post — Women, Technology and Webkinz. To your point about Black Friday — well, guess what I spent most of yesterday doing? Yup. Shopping with a girlfriend — I bought a fabulous BCBG Max Azria kimono shirt.
    Thanks for dropping by,
    Whitney Johnson
