Here is an interesting business organizing success story from Saturday’s LA Times:
The New Disney Stores, now owned by Children’s Place Retail Stores, Inc. is better organized, and its paying off with fast-moving check-out lines and more adult-friendly merchandise. After a year of looking for a buyer, Disney sold the Children’s Place in 2004 for just the cost of the chain’s inventory.
We’re sure this was a complicated turn-around, but it sure nice to be reminded strategic planning and organizing retail employees creates faster lines and fresher merchandise. Sometimes a fresh-eye with a new approach can make all the difference.
