Some Closet Organizing Advice for Audrina Patridge

Audrina-patridge los angeles confidential

Reality television star Audrina Patridge is having quite the career these days, and it's taking a toll on her closet.

Along with Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag, Patridge stars in the wildly popular The Hill on MTV, now in their fourth season.

TheHills dvd According to Wikipedia, Partridge moved to Hollywood from her hometown in Downey, California. While she was caught sunbathing, she was approached by The Hills producers and was asked if she would like to be a cast member on the show.  The rest, as they say, is history.

All the activity Audrina is experiencing, being on the show, Hollywood Awards, parties, working in real life at Quixote Photo Studios, and guesting on Do Not Disturb-- Niecy Nash's new show on Fox, has taken a toll on her life, and her closet.

Audrina's been chronicling her closet reorganization on her blog which we discovered when we Twittered about it in the beginning of August. You've got to check out these before and after photos:

Audrina seems all smiles amidst her "disaster" (her words, not ours) of a closet.

I don't think Audrina knows this closet is a pretty typical "before" shot.

We're not sure what sparked her interest in her closet, we can only presume she was annoyed every time she went into the space.  What do you think?

"My sister Casey and I decided to stay up tonight and organize my closet. It was a crazy mess! We made room for some new things I bought and tried to get the rest of my clothes and shoes in order."

After their hard work, may we present the after picture.  We wonder what time they finished?

So, instead of talking about what Audrina (and her sister) *may* have done wrong, let's talk about what they did *right.*

  1. Audrina moved less-used items onto the top shelves; luggage, old boxes, out of season clothing;

  2. She dumped all the old, mismatched hangers;

  3. For the most part, looks like she has put like items, like short hang, pants, coats, in categories;

  4. She utilized the area underneath her short hang, and placed her shoes on racks;

  5. She decorated the closet with a soft cushy rug making her trips to Trina Turk cozy.

  6. She added a suede and nail head trimmed stool so she can comfortably slip on her stilettos;

  7. She tossed all the old dry cleaning bags; they don't let clothes breathe;

  8. Not sure about this, but looks like she brought in an extra rack in order to thin out her closet and see her clothes;

  9. Looks like she is using Closet Maid's Shelf Track Closet Organizing System, a strong versatile DIY system that accommodates a wide variety of changeable options.  We like the hanger rod, which creates a snag free hanger movement when you slide your hanger across the rod;

  10. We assume she donated her clothes to a charity or sold them for a small profit at Crossroads

Check out her post.

What other *positive* closet organizing feedback could we give Audrina?  What did we miss?  We have a feeling she's listening.  But maybe we're full of ourselves?
