Do you know how to fold a t-shirt?
These videos are for the amusement of our weekend blog readers, we're continuing to feature organizing videos that are satirical, irreverent, smart or just plain fun.
Do you have a video you'd like to have us feature? Check out this post first, then email us.
Thanks to Linda Rothschild for the submission! Linda says "Bet you just can't watch this just once!"

John, this is just so perfect! I'm going to go practice so I can amaze my next client with my brilliance (of course, I'll credit you!).

That is wild! I cannot wait to try it out. I think I will submit that for the new Magic Trick of the month club.

John, it cracks me up that you blogged about this. I saw this video a few years ago and actually folded a t-shirt using this method as my act in my family's talent show. (I had the theme to Star Wars playing behind me on my parents' Casio keyboard.) I really wowed 'em.
It was great to see you at NAPO in Reno!

Linda was right! I had to watch that again. And I just wowed my husband with it! The only thing I don't like is that you end up with that extra flap of a sleeve hanging out - can any origami experts think of a fast way to have it tucked in?

Can you play that again? Loved it, john. Thanks for being such an innovative blogger.

At first, I was having flashbacks to when I returned to third grade after having the chicken pox and everyone else could do long division!
I've watched this three times, and have just figured out that I was trying to follow the hand movements without reckoning for the camera-reverse angles. Now that I've got it straight, I can't wait to replicate this for clients!

Wow! Does that technique only work on silky t-shirts or cotton too!

That is SWEET! I'm gonna go try it out. I love the music in the background, too. It brings the whole video together.

This looks like magic. I will have to watch it several times to get it. I can't wait to show my son-in-law who folds his shirts perfect like this, but this is nifty.
Would you like one of my videos on your site? It was great meeting you in Reno! Marilyn

This will probably never happen at my house, but we do have an easy method for folding t-shirts that gives us quite acceptable results. Our shelves were too narrow to be able to accomodate 2 stacks when folded lengthwise and then crosswise and I never could get a consistant shape when folding them into thirds lengthwise and once crosswise.
I credit this method to watching a Gap employee folding t-shirs. That must be a never ending job. I hear that Martha Stewart did something similar with a cutting board. My husband cut a piece of particle board a little narrower than half of the shelf width and almost as long as a t-shirt. We stack the t-shirts front down on a bed or table, place the folding board in the middle of the top shirt, fold over the left and right side of the t-shirt, pull the board out, and fold the t-shirt crosswise. The shirts look neater and stack much better on the shelves when they are uniformly folded. It works for us and the board was inexpensive, easy to make, and takes up little storage space.
