The design blogs have gone crazy-- and for good reason. These units promote safety while remaining stylish.
- The unit sits stylishly on your kitchen counter.
- The stylish design keeps it visible for rapid accessibility.
- Design features ergonomic grip and one hand push button dispensing.
- Innovative wall-mount bracket (they call it a docking station) included and is U/L Listed.
Did you know there are two kinds of extinguishers?
- ABC extinguishers - fights wood, paper and cloth fires, plus flammable liquid and electrical fires.
- BC extinguishers - should only be used in kitchens because the chemical agent in ABC extinguishers may damage ovens and other kitchen surfaces. Good only for flammable liquids and electrical fires.
Listen, if you've ever had to use a fire extinguisher, let us know your tips. Do you think this stylish design would blend so well in your decor that you may not find it during that moment of panic?

I have a fire extinguisher in my kitchen but it is kept under the sink behind some cleaning products. I was exicited to see this beauty that I could mount on my wall where it would be handy in case I ever need it. (Heaven forbid) If fire drills are done in home once a month I think in a moment of panic-- if there was fire in the kitchen-- I don't think it would be a problem to remember where it was and convenient to reach. Better than under the sink like my current one.I will check and see if our home depot has them. Thanks for the tip.

John, I like this fire extinguisher but you brought a good point about being able to find it in a moment of panic. I hate to say it but maybe not! I think we are all so used to looking for that red fire extinguisher. I think it might take a minute to register with someone that, "yes indeed this will help put out that fire"! As long as everyone using the kitchen knew that was the fire extinguisher in case of emergency.

You've got to check out the StoveTop FireStop! It's an automatic kitchen fire extinguisher that magnetizes to the underside of your venthood. It's about the size of a tuna can and is flame activated so if there's a fire on the stove it will put the fire out for you. Check out the website at www.stovetopfirestop.com

Hi,
According to the National Fire Protection Association, approximately 43 percent of the nation's homes have fire extinguishers. The International Association of Fire Chiefs recommends keeping a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, in the garage, and on each level of your home. Fire extinguishers should be kept in the kitchen, but 10 feet away from the stove.
