The New York Times may call him a delusional jerk, but has Jeff Lewis been a gift to the organization industry?
Jeff Lewis (pictured left) of Bravo TV's Flipping Out, is just so much fun. He's crazy, and obsessively compulsive, and just the kind of person we love to hate.
But one thing for sure (putting aside everyone's fixation on his so-called botox injections), Jeff Lewis is a model for ultra-organization. Even if his needs seem over the top, he gives us all knowledge that being organized takes time, maintenance and person-power. You need more help when your home is bigger, less when it's smaller. So keep it simple. I think Americans need to see OCD extremes, so they know how they fit-in. Don't you agree?
His open houses showcase snippets of potential clients whispering how perfect his closets are organized. Lewis's hijinks are highly dramatic when his contractors, real estate agents, plumbers, sexy assistants and sub-contractor are nudged to save $25. During the final episode Lewis appeared to go ballistic when the garage door contractors neglected to remove stickers off the doors (we agree with him.) And the stakes are high, he can't let his properties stay on the market for too long. All of this is a rush that feeds on itself.
We were working in the Hollywood Hills two weeks ago. A marketing flyer appeared on the steps going up to the house-- from Boni Bryant-- Lewis' Los Feliz Realtor. The flyer showcased Lewis's for-sale homes, including Ben Lomond (pictured above) and Valley Oak properties.
The show seems to be such a big hit, but why are the houses still for sale?

I LOVE this show. It's riveting watching Jeff in action.
What I love about him is that he promotes the idea that in spite of your flaws, it's possible to find a profession that allows to focus on your strengths and possibly even turn your flaws into an asset!
I love that he doesn't focus too hard on trying to change himself as much as finds ways to compensate for his shortcomings.
Thank God there are people like him willing to tolerate such a chaotic lifestyle and renovate these homes for people like me who could never live in a house while such renovations are underway!
I would rather pay to have a home with the major remodelings already done so that I can just restyle it to my taste : )

I think Joe Lewis is wonderful! He's genuine and has passion for his business and his employees. He seems to truly care about getting the job done correctly and he should not be downed for that. If hes ever hiring; please let me know...Id love to work with him!

I live in Boston, and would love for you to give me the opportunity to be your best employee. I would love to be your house assistant. I welcome the fact that you have a hidden camera. Scheduling a massage for your employee instead of hugging her was pretty cool. I like your work ethic. If you email me back I would love to send you a pic.

Hey Jeff,
I love your show!!! I totally get you... because I am the female version of you... When the moving company was treating you bad after all the business you had given them, and you said you were not going to go out of your way, like put a bill board on sunset about them, because it was 25,000.... I never laughed so hard, because when a builder screwed my husband and I, I posted professional signs on my car That said DO NOT TRUST STRATLAND AKA SUNWEST BUILDERS!!!!
So I get it!!!! BEST WISHES!!!!

Jeff your a jerk, and I don't know anyone who would put up with how disrespectful you are to people. I don't understand why these people have not put you in your place.
Also, I can't believe not one person said anything about giving the dog the toy. What is wrong with you people....you all can't be that dumb?
