Organizing Industry leaders gathered last night to celebrate the 2006 Los Angeles Organizing Awards sponsored by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers.
Our event played to a packed house of over 100 authors, media, retailers, innovators, and friends as they celebrated contributions to the organizing field. Yours truly, John Trosko chaired the event at the beautiful (and wildly efficient) Maggiano's Bellagio Room, located at the Grove in Los Angeles. Chris McKenry, Tiffany Schwartz, Jodi McDaniel, Robin Davi, Laurie Clarke, Cindy Kamm, Kristine Oller and Dee Saar served as stellar committee leadership.
Need proof this was an incredible event? The sturdy list of media reports are now surfacing. First up is National Public Radio's own Karen Grigsby Bates . Here's a quote from her Day by Day report which appeared Nationally throughout the United States today.
"it's not the Academy Awards, but this ceremony recognizes something with some practical use..."

I host an internet radio show on taxes and personal finance, which aims to help people stay organized in their financial lives, and also illustrates some of the crises that happen to people who aren't organized. Professional organizers are likely to make good guests. We aim to do one broad topic covering 13 one hour shows, and invite inquiries from organizers. Current topic is financial effects of divorce, but check for current project theme.
